
BANNING, CA β A commercial building caught fire Wednesday in Banning, damaging the structure but not injuring anyone at or near the site.
The blaze was reported at 1:03 p.m. near the intersection of Fourth and Livingston streets, adjacent to a Riverside County Department of Public Social Services satellite office, according to the county fire department.
The agency said that five engine crews and a truck company, numbering about two dozen personnel, encountered flames raging in the vacant single-story structure.

Banning police were the first to arrive and reportedly verified the property was unoccupied.
The fire was fully contained roughly 45 minutes later.
