Former Sears Building In Moreno Valley Converted To Vaccine Site

The site will be used as a vaccination clinic starting Monday, March. 8.

MORENO VALLEY, CA β€” The former Sears building at the Moreno Valley Shopping Mall is being converted into a COVID-19 vaccine site, county officials announced Friday.

The new site, located at 22550 Town Circle, will begin vaccinating people starting Monday, March 8. Hours of operation will be 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

β€œI am excited that such a large city will be getting a vaccination site,” said Riverside County Supervisor Jeff Hewitt, Fifth District. β€œThis will help us make sure our elderly and most vulnerable have convenient access to the vaccine.”

The former Sears location, found on the store’s second floor, replaces the Corona High School vaccine site, which closed Friday.

β€œThe Corona High School location was a great site and the people there were fantastic,” said Kim Saruwatari, director of Riverside University Health System-Public Health. β€œWe are looking forward to coming to Sears because there is so much potential there.”
