Indio 6-Year-Old Gets Make-A-Wish Dream Trip to Hawaii

“After more than a year of chemotherapy, surgery and other treatments, 6-year-old Desirae “Desi” Cechin of Indio is about to realize her dream: a vacation to Disney’s Aulani resort in Hawai’i, ” reports The Desert Sun.

Make-A-Wish Orange County and Inland Empire granted the wish and hosted a party Monday at Outback Steakhouse in Palm Desert to present the itineary, added the Desert Sun. After numerous hospital stays, the family vacation will allow Desi to go without any restrictions on what she can or can’t do, and just have fun.

“Desi, who just celebrated her birthday on Friday, has been battling neuroblastoma — an aggressive, rare, late-stage cancer that grows in nerve tissues — since her diagnosis in April 2014,” said the Desert Sun.
