Inland Empire Gas Prices Drop Slightly

The price dropped a half-cent to $3.935, the second decrease in three days after rising 29 times in 30 days.

The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in the Inland Empire dropped a half-cent today to $3.935, the second decrease in three days after rising 29 times in 30 days to its highest amount since Aug. 2.

The average price in Riverside and San Bernardino counties dropped three- tenths of a cent on Sunday and rose two-tenths of a cent on Monday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

The average price is 13 cents more than one week ago and 77.2 cents higher than one month ago because of lower supply caused by production problems at several refineries. However, it is 21.5 cents less than one year ago.
