Man Sought in Carjacking of Landscape Truck
A man brandished a knife Tuesday and made off with a truck belonging to a landscaping company.

Deputies were called about 10:40 a.m. on a report of a carjacking in the 36-900 block of Cook Street, sheriffβs Sgt. Andy Martinez said.
He said the suspect jumped into the passenger side of a landscaping dump truck and ordered the driver out of the cab at knifepoint.

The driver got out of the truck safely and the suspect was last seen driving south on Cook Street, Martinez said.
The suspect was described as a Hispanic man, about 5-foot-6 and 145 pounds, with a light complexion and tattoos of an βIβ on his left calf and βEβ on his right calf.
He was wearing black-and-white checkered shorts and carrying a white towel.
The carjacked vehicle is a white 2000 Ford stakebed dump truck with white wood paneling, double rear swing doors and βDesert Conceptsβ on the cab doors. The California license plate number is 8T74880.
