Late-Night Mayhem At Banning Gas Station: Witnesses Sought

Banning police were called to the Chevron station at 827 W. Ramsey Street. Officers quickly learned two people had been stabbed.

BANNING, CA β€” Violent mayhem over the weekend at a Chevron gas station in Banning left two people with stab wounds, and police are seeking additional witnesses.

At approximately 12:44 a.m. Sunday, Banning police were called to the station at 827 W. Ramsey Street regarding multiple people fighting. Before officers arrived at the scene, however, the melee broke up and people fled the scene, according to the Banning Police Department.

Witnesses told officers that one of the people involved in the fight was possibly stabbed.

Minutes later, at approximately 1 a.m., Banning police received a call from a local
hospital advising that two stabbing victims arrived in the emergency room.

Officers went to the hospital and spoke to the victims. Both confirmed they were stabbed at the Chevron Gas Station in Banning. Neither victim had life-threatening injuries, police said.

No arrests were announced, but Banning police said the investigation is ongoing. Anyone with additional information regarding the incident is asked to contact the Banning Police Department Detective Bureau at 951-849-1511.
