Man Found Dead In Banning Was Hit-And-Run Victim: Police

BANNING, CA β€” A man found dead on a Banning street early Wednesday morning was the victim of a hit-and-run crash, police said Friday.

The Banning resident was found at approximately 2:03 a.m. in the 1200 block of W. Ramsey Street. His lifeless body was discovered lying against the curb of eastbound lanes, according to the Banning Police Department.

Authorities have not released his identity.

During the investigation, officers determined the man was struck by a vehicle. The driver fled the scene before police arrived.

Banning detectives were called in, and the Beaumont Police Department helped by using its drone to take aerial photographs that are being used as part of the investigation.
