LOS ANGELES — As the weekend wraps, we've rounded up some of the stories you may have missed Saturday and Sunday to prepare you for Monday.

Forecasters in Los Angeles see a noticeably cooler and "very quiet" run of weather ahead for the Southland, with highs averaging 4 to 8 degrees below normal by Wednesday. Long-range models suggest the pattern may stick around for the foreseeable future, and things may even get cooler next week. Little to no precipitation is expected.

Catching up on other headlines from the weekend: A 14-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of murder in Oceanside, and two people were critically injured after their truck crashed into an ambulance in Los Angeles.
