Murder-Suicide Confirmed In Banning Family Deaths

The deceased were all found with gunshot wounds.

BANNING, CA β€” An investigation into the shooting deaths of three family members whose bodies were found inside a Banning home earlier this year was ruled a murder-suicide, police announced last week.

"The investigation revealed that the incident was a double homicide and suicide. There is no danger to the public ...," the Banning Police Department said in a July 11 statement.

The tragic discovery was made around 11:59 a.m. May 23 when police were called to a residence in the 900 block of Holly Street.

When officers entered the residence, they found the three deceased individuals who all had gunshot wounds, police said.

Police confirmed that the three were family members who lived in the home together. Their identities were not released.
