Update 5:50 p.m.Β A motorist who was fatally injured ThursdayΒ when a sport utility vehicleΒ struck a dirt embankment and overturned near Aguanga has been identified by the coroner.
Norma Becerra, 28, of Aguanga, was ejected from the SUV and she was pronounced deceased at the scene shortly after 10 a.m., coroner's personnel said in a statement.
Posted 12:58 p.m.Β One person was killed in a rollover crash Thursday morning near Aguanga, south of Hemet, a Cal Fire spokeswoman said.
The crash was reported at 9:23 a.m. Jan. 23 onΒ Wilson Valley Road north of Thomas Road, which isΒ also known as Cahuilla Heights Road, according toΒ Jennifer Fuhrman of Cal Fire-Riverside County.
"Firefighters responded to a solo vehicle rollover resulting in one fatality," Fuhrman said in a statement.
American Medical Response, the California Highway Patrol, and coroner's personnel also responded, Fuhrman said. Details of the crash were not immediately available.
