Pass Area Sheriff's Sweep Nets 3 Dozen Arrests
Sheriff's officials say they fanned out across various communities in the Pass Area in a "High Impact Zero Tolerance Saturation Patrol."

CABAZON, CA β A total of three dozen people were arrested in one day in a sheriff's operation held across the San Gorgonio Pass Area this week. The Riverside County Sheriff's Department says they held a "high impact zero tolerance saturation patrol" on Tuesday.
The operation took deputies into the communities of Cabazon, Whitewater, Cherry Valley and Calimesa, according to sheriff's Sgt. Richard Carroll.
"The operation focused on improving the quality of life for the citizens and their communities," Carroll said. "As a result of this effort, 36 subjects were booked into jail for various criminal violations which included arrest warrants, possession of controlled substances, felon in possession of firearm, and bringing contraband into a correctional facility."

Various personnel from the Riverside County Sheriff's Department assisted in Tuesday's sweep, including the Sheriffβs Emergency Response Team, the Riverside County Gang Task Force, and the Riverside County Probation Department.
"The Riverside County Sheriffβs Department is committed to improving the quality of life for all citizens and businesses in the area," Carroll said. "This operation was also a partnership with citizens involved in 'Community Policing' efforts in their communities."
