If you would like to serve the department in a volunteer capacity, applications are being sought.

MURRIETA, CA β The Murrieta Police Department is actively recruiting volunteers to work at its station and in uniform out in the field.
Uniformed field volunteers are sought to work at community events and assist patrol units with maintaining crime scenes, traffic control, and patrol streets and around schools.
Station volunteers are needed to assist the public at the front counter, answering phones, paperwork, and other clerical duties.
No physical agility test is required, but volunteers do assist with roadway closures and other activities that may keep them on their feet for long periods of time, according to the department.
