"Preserve Your Family Heirlooms" Workshop, Oct. 10, 7 p.m.

Tips on preservation, from fine china and clothing to papers and photos.

The San Gorgonio Pass Historical Society will host a β€œPreserve Your Family Heirlooms” workshop on Thursday, Oct. 10, at 7 p.m. at the Beaumont Woman’s Club. The workshop is free, and all are welcome. Part of a series of seminars designed to help the community learn more about preserving personal family histories, the workshop will be led by Tony Pierucci, historic preservation officer for Riverside County Parks, and will provide tips on preservation of all types of mementos, from fine china and clothing to papers and photos. The Beaumont Woman’s Club is located at 306 E. 6th St., Beaumont.


The historical society’s museum will be open on Saturday, Nov. 2, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and is located inside the Beaumont Woman’s Club. On Nov. 14, the society will present β€œEarly Postmasters and Post Offices in the San Gorgonio Pass” at 7 p.m. at the Dorothy Ramon Learning Center’s Gathering Hall in Banning.
