RivCo Luxury Housing Market Ranked Fastest-Growing In California
The 2020 fourth-quarter findings from Realtor.com also showed the county was the third fastest-growing luxury housing market in the nation.

RIVERSIDE COUNTY, CA — Riverside County had the fastest-growing luxury housing market in California during the final quarter of 2020, and the third fastest-growing in the nation, according to recent data from Realtor.com.
Nationwide, the county's sizzling luxury market was outdone only by Jefferson and Arapahoe counties in Colorado, according to the report.
"California continues to see secondary markets thrive, such as Riverside County just beyond Los Angeles," Realtor.com reported. "Riverside County luxury prices reached $2.28 million [listing price], up 45.8 percent year-over-year" during the fourth quarter of 2020.

Falling just behind Riverside County's fast-paced Q4 growth were the Golden State's coastal markets of San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara, and Monterey counties, which have rebounded following the COVID-19 slowdown earlier in 2020. The beach counties were seeing 38 to 45 percent price growth year-over-year, according to Realtor.com.
In terms of the most expensive luxury markets in Q4 2020, Riverside County did not make Realtor.com's Top 20 list this time around. Santa Barbara County got that honor with a "luxury (top 5 percent) listing price" of $18,865,000. Nine other California counties were also on the list, including Monterey, San Mateo, Los Angeles, Marin, Orange, San Diego, Santa Clara, Ventura, and San Francisco.
