RivCo Pilot Killed In Mountain Crash, Mourned By Family, Friends
The family of Blake Broadbent is reaching out for community support after his sudden, unexpected loss.
RIVERSIDE COUNTY, CA β Family and friends of Blake Broadbent are mourning his sudden loss after he was killed in a plane crash Saturday night.
Broadbent, 35, of Riverside, died as a result of crashing a twin turboprop engine Gulfstream 695A, flying from Stockton to the Chino airport, according to the FAA. He was the only person onboard, and his body was recovered from the crash site in Devil's Canyon on Sunday.
A GoFundMe fundraiser, established Tuesday, has already raised nearly $8,000 for the fiance, son, brother, uncle and friend, according to family spokesperson Brittaney Lindberg.

"Blake was truly one of the best people you could meet," Lindberg shared on the fundraising website. "He lit up every room he walked into and made everyone he met feel like family."
During the days following the crash, the family is seeking community support, she said.

"All proceeds will be allocated to Blake's sister, Brooklynne Cooper, to help her fund funeral expenses," Lindberg said. "The Broadbent family is devastated by his sudden departure from this earth but are comforted that Blake was greeted at the gates of heaven by his Grandpas."
