Rocket Launch at Library on 50th Anniversary of Apollo 11

Celebrate mankind's first voyage to the moon that took place half a century ago!

Come to the Library on Tuesday, July 16, for an afternoon of activities as we celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 launch and moon landing.

We will have a brief story time with Ms. Sarah at 3:30 p.m. in the Children's department, followed by an easy DIY science experiment for the kids.

Then, to cap the day off, Library Board member Bret Mahoney will be launching a model rocket in the library parking lot at 4 p.m. He has also donated a LEM (Lunar Excursion Module) LEGO set which we will raffle off at the end of the program.
