San Diego Comic-Con 2022 Kicks Off Thursday
The annual event returns to in-person festivities for the first time in over two years. See the full list of the most anticipated panels.
SAN DIEGO, CA β Yes! Believe it, fan boys and fan girls, your wait is over. San Diego Comic-Con is back with an all-out slate of in-person festivities for the first time in more than two years, after a couple of virtual events during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Over the course of the four-day event, which takes place from Thursday to Sunday, the organizers are expecting more than 130,000 people to attend the world's biggest nerd circus. All guests, whether cosplaying or not, will be required to wear a mask to get in.
As in previous years, the 2022 edition schedule has a slate of panels from big studios and networks, bringing some of the most anticipated movies and TV shows along with a parade of stars to the cavernous Hall H.
Among the highlights are panels for Warner Bros.' "Black Adam" and "Shazam: Fury of the Gods." Stars Dwayne Johnson and Zachary Levi are expected to participate.
TV panels are also set to return with a big bang to the annual pop-culture convention. They include HBO's first look at the prequel series "House of the Dragon," as well as Amazon Prime Video's upcoming fantasy series "The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power." Paramount+ will also have a panel for three of its "Star Trek" series: "Picard," "Strange New Worlds" and "Lower Decks."
