
A man was arrested Thursday in San Jacinto on suspicion ofΒ possessing stolen property, possessingΒ a controlled substance, identity theft, and being aΒ felon in possession of ammunition, a sheriff's sergeant said.
On Jan. 16,Β Special Enforcement Team received info about possible narcotics sales, stolen property and identity theft itemsΒ at a residence in the 1100 block of Peacock Drive, San Jacinto police Sgt.Β J. Orona saidΒ Jan. 23Β in a statement.
Deputies investigated, got a warrant, and on Thursday they went to the residence and searched, Orona said.
"During a search of the residence numerous victims of burglaries were identified throughout the Hemet and San Jacinto area," Orona said.Β "Among the items located were construction equipment, numerous credit cards, items used to commit identity theft, narcotics and loaded ammunition."
Jorge CanezΒ Martinez, 33, of San Jacinto, was arrested at 7:26 a.m. Jan. 23Β and a records check showedΒ he had a felony warrant for burglary, Orona said.
He wasΒ booked on three counts of burglary and four counts of receiving stolen propertyΒ shortly after 12 noon Thursday atΒ Smith CorrectionalΒ in Banning, where he remained Thursday night on $105,000 bail, according to inmate records. He has a court date Jan. 27 in Riverside.
