Slew Of Holiday Activities Happening In Beaumont This Weekend

The Christmas Light Parade and Winter Wish Food Drive are just two of the local events.

From The City of Beaumont:The City of Beaumont will be kicking off the holiday season with a variety of events taking place on Saturday, December 8th. throughout the city!

Christmas Light Parade: The 21st annual City of Beaumont Christmas Light Parade will now extend its route to Magnolia Avenue creating a viewing area in front of the Civic Center! The parade will begin at 6:00 p.m. at the intersection of Palm Avenue and 10th Street and will feature themed floats, decorated golf carts, and local groups showing off their holiday spirit. To highlight the new viewing location, an official parade announcer booth will be located on the Civic Center front lawn. After the parade join Santa and Mrs. Claus for treats, music and shopping at the Civic Center.

Holiday Craft Extravaganza: Find the perfect holiday gift at our craft/vendor extravaganza from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.at the Civic Center, located at 550 E. 6th Street. From Paparazzi jewelry, candles, yard art, and hand made crafts, our local businesses have your Christmas shopping covered!

In addition to over two dozen vendors participating in the Holiday Craft Extravaganza, the following musical performances will take place:

  • The Music Center: 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.
  • BHS Jazz Band: 7:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.

Winter Wish Food Drive: The City of Beaumont and Pass Transit will be at Walmart from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. collecting goods for the local Winter Wish food drive. Items needed include: canned goods, dry pasta, rice, crackers, evaporated milk, cereal, oatmeal, instant mashed potatoes, macaroni and cheese, coffee, tea, and juice.

Spark of Love Toy Drive: Cal Fire will be at Walmart from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Saturday, December 8th and Sunday, December 9th collecting toys for the annual Spark of Love Toy Drive. New unwrapped gifts will be accepted during the event and can also be dropped off at any Riverside County fire station. Monetary donations are also welcome.
