Smoke From Gararge Fire Visible Across Beaumont

BEAUMONT, CA β€” A garage fire sent smoke billowing in Beaumont Monday afternoon, but according to officials there were no reports of injuries.

The blaze was reported at 2:46 p.m. in the 900 block of Essex Road, a residential housing tract, according to Cal Fire/Riverside County spokesperson April Newman.

When crews arrived on scene, they found the garage fully involved in flames, she said.

Fortunately, there were no immediate reports of injuries, Newman confirmed.

As of 3:11 p.m., crews were still working to douse the blaze. Residents can expect firefighters to remain on scene for several hours to mop up.
