Woman Walking on I-10 Hit, Killed By Big Rig

A 69-year-old woman walking on Interstate 10 in Beaumont was struck by a big rig and killed Saturday, authorities said.

It happened about 11 a.m. on the eastbound side of the interstate, just east of Pennsylvania Avenue, according to the Riverside County coroner's office.

Pok McLeod of Banning was pronounced dead at 11:48 a.m. at Riverside County Regional Medical Center, coroner's officials said.
