BELMONT, CA — Two people were found dead from an apparent drug overdose Wednesday afternoon at a Belmont hotel, police said.
Officers at around 2:50 p.m. responded to a medical call concerning a couple in the 400 block of Concourse Drive according to police.
The officers found a 31-year-old man and a 30-year-old woman dead in their hotel room, police said.

Their names were withheld amid an ongoing investigation of the case, police said.
“Based on evidence located at the scene, it appears the couple may have suffered a drug overdose,” Belmont police said in a statement.

“The investigation continues to exhaust all other possibilities while awaiting toxicology results from the San Mateo County Coroner’s Office.”
