BELMONT, CA -- Greg Scoles, Belmont's city manager for the past nine years, is retiring effective June 8, according to a statement from the city.
With that announcement, the 64-year-old Scoles will end a 42-year career in the public sector. He came to Belmont in 2010 from Santa Rosa, where he'd been the deputy city manager.
"My experience here in Belmont has been a great capstone to my career," Scoles said in the statement. "The city is in great shape and I feel this is the right time to move on."
