Belmont Police, Community Continue Search For Missing Man

BELMONT, CA — Belmont police are asking for the public's help finding a missing man who hasn't been seen since Monday night. Paul Patrick Farmer, 84, suffers from dementia and police are concerned for his safety.

Police said Farmer walked away from his home in the 1600 block of Molitor Road sometime Monday evening. His wife reported him missing around 8:50 p.m. when she noticed he was gone. She last saw him around 5 p.m., but he may have been spotted Tuesday morning.

"Search and rescue units worked through the night and were unable to locate Paul," police said on Tuesday. "This morning, it was reported that Paul was seen at 7:30 am near the area of Ralston Ave and Highway 92."

The search continues for the man, who does not have a cell phone nor money with him and suffers from medical conditions.

"Paul has the on-set of dementia, a history of falls, and currently takes medication for high blood pressure and cholesterol," police said. "Paul's wife feels he may still be in the area of Belmont or San Carlos, but could have gone farther."

Farmer is described as being 5 feet, 11 inches tall and weighing around 140 pounds. He was last seen wearing a red ball cap, prescription glasses, a shirt or jacket, blue jeans and black shoes.
