Masked Trio Pulls Off Heist At Area Apple Store
The three male suspects evaded law enforcement as they drove over the Bay Bridge, officials said.
SAN MATEO, CA — Three men, with their faces disguised, managed to evade police after stealing roughly 40 items Thursday night from the Apple store at the Hillsdale Shopping Center in San Mateo, according to authorities.
The San Mateo Police Department arrived at the mall within minutes of the theft, logged at about 9 p.m., and despite a search of the area was unable to locate the trio, police said.

The suspects, described as black males, fled the scene in a white, four-door sedan, according to witnesses. Officers from the Brisbane Police Department spotted and pursued the vehicle as it headed north on Highway 101, the agency said. The chase was picked up by the California Highway Patrol on Interstate Highway 80, but officers lost sight of the car as it crossed the Bay Bridge, police said.
