The California Drought Seen From Space

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration and the National Aeronautics and Space Agency posted this picture of the Sierra Nevada (Mountains of Snow in Spanish) that will have you shaking your head.

The Snow Water Equivalents in the Sierra Nevada mountain range in California are abnormally low for this time of year, as can be seen in this image comparing 2013 to 2014.
