Bravo TV brings its popular show Top Chef to Belmont Shore's Chase Bank Sunday, adding a Hollywood twist to local al fresco food prep.
For five years, the show has gone on the road, and this May began visiting 14 cities with staged live cook-offs between what are called cheftestants. Today they bring to Long Beach Chris Crary vs. Eli Kirshtein of the show's sixth season in what's billed as "an exciting 'Quickfire-style'" of culinary competition.
The pre-event free tickets have been reserved for all three shows (10:30 a.m., 12 p.m., and 1:30 p.m.) but walk-ups are welcome. The fun will include several games, prizes and a photo goldmine for fans of the show.

Crary is Chef de Cuisine for Whist restaurant at the Viceroy Hotel in Santa Monica.
"If he were given a last supper," Bravo writes under Crary's bio, "he says 'It would have to include biscuits and gravy, to honor my southern roots. Who doesn't have a guilty pleasure of eating a plate of biscuits and sausage gravy?'"
