The on-ramp and off-ramp connecting Harbor Scenic Drive/710 Freeway with Pico Avenue in the Port of Long Beach will be closed Saturday and Sunday, Jan. 26-27, 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The closures affect the Pico exit from southbound Harbor Scenic/710 identified as the "Pier F, G Pico Ave" exit, and the "North 710" on-ramp from northbound Pico Avenue just north of Harbor Plaza.
The closures are due to Southern California Edison's construction of a new power distribution network to deliver additional electricity to the Port as a source of clean energy for ships at berth.
To reach Pico from the southbound 710, the best alternate route is to take an earlier exit onto Pico, the "Pier B C D E Pico Ave" exit that is just south of the Anaheim Street exit.

To reach the northbound 710 from Pico, take Harbor Plaza east from Pico and continue on it until it reaches the entrance to the northbound 710 on the left.
