Part of a damaged overpass is to be demolished and replaced, in a $2.5 million repair.

Both directions of the San Diego (405) Freeway will be closed overnight in Long Beach for four nights starting Monday, construction managers warned today.

The construction site is at Temple Avenue, which is between Cherry Avenue and Lakewood Boulevard, Caltrans officials said. That’s adjacent to Long Beach Airport.

Lanes will begin closing on the 405 starting at 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday nights, with full closures in both directions in effect by midnight.
