Brickersville Mayor Visits Atomic Basement Comics
The new comic book store in Long Beach is quite the destination for comic-book-loving politicos.

Atomic Basement Comics, the new comic book store at 3rd and Elm in Long Beach, received its second visit from a comic-book loving Mayor. The first visit was from Long Beach's Mayor, Robert Garcia, who paid a surprise visit to the store on its opening day. It is a well-known fact that Mayor Garcia likes comic books.
The Honorable First Mayor of Brickersville, Jesse Miller, also paid a visit to the Atomic Basement Comics, dropping in on the store's Wednesday night Creator's Lab.
Creator's Lab is held every Wednesday from 7-10 PM, after the store's regular business hours. Last night's lab was graced with the likes of Emmy award winning television animator and comic book artist Rafael Navarro, Long Beach's Kim Dwinell, movie and print artist and author of Surfside Girls (published by Top Shelf Comics - available in English, French and Italian) and Don Schmidt, artist/illustrator of the Ninja Mom children's book written by actress/author Ren Hanami.
