Long Beach to Get Dodger Games Back by Tuesday!

About 300,000 Charter Communications cable customers in Long Beach and around the region will get Dodger telecasts beginning Tuesday.

About 300,000 Charter Communications cable customers will be able to watch Dodger telecasts beginning Tuesday, the company announced today.

Charter announced last week it had agreed to purchase Time Warner Cable, which carries the Los Angeles Dodgers’ TV channel, SportsNet LA. Other Southland cable and satellite services have not been carrying the channel, citing its cost, leaving thousands of Dodger fans unable to watch the team’s games.

Charter CEO Tom Rutledge said last week he was committed to offering customers SportsNet LA as soon as possible. He issued a statement today saying the channel would be offered beginning Tuesday.

According to The Times, SportsNet LA will be offered in standard definition on channel 44, and in high definition on channel 789 for Charter subscribers.
