Good News Long Beach: Missing Man Found
A resident with Alzheimer's Disease wandered from his Long Beach home Monday night and was located shortly after police sought the public's help.

A 78-year-old Long Beach man with Alzheimer's disease turned up safe Tuesday after he wandered off from a new home and went missing for about a day, police said.
The man, whom police identified as Ronald Mauricette, wandered away from his home in the Lakewood Country Club general area about 7:30 p.m. Monday.
Long Beach Police Department spokeswoman Nancy Pratt said Mauricette had recently moved to a residence near there.

After the department sent out an e-alert to media seeking help in finding him, he was located about 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, seated on a bus bench in the 5300 block of Long Beach Boulevard, Pratt said.
He was about four miles from home, according to Mapquest.

Pratt said, "He was found in good health and is being transported back home to waiting family members.''
