One Dead, One Hospitalized In Belmont Shore Apartment Fire
The cause of the fire was under investigation.

BELMONT SHORE-NAPLES, CA – One woman died in an apartment fire in Belmont Shore and her husband was hospitalized, authorities said Tuesday.
Firefighters responded about 11:30 p.m. Monday to an apartment complex on 38th Place near East Ocean Boulevard and reported heavy fire from the involved unit with a woman trapped, according to a statement from the Long Beach Fire Department.
The woman was pulled out of the home but died of her injuries, the statement said. Her husband was transported to a hospital in moderate condition.

The woman was reported to be in her 60s. The age of her husband was not disclosed.
