The Queen Mary's Halloween Clowns
It seems that everywhere I turn, I see something on the news about clowns.

Ghosts under the bed and monsters in the closet. Many such a story has been told. I recall one little nephew's concern about ghosts.... A 4 year old, who needed his dad to check under the bed before he went in to sleep. "Ghosts" he would explain, wide eyed. He's in college now, and I don't think he's afraid of the dark.
I took another nephew, also 4 years old to see Jurassic Park when it was first released. He was trembling at the loud noises, the sharp teeth and quick movements of the raptors. Scary! He's all grown up now. I don't think he's afraid of the movie any longer, bt I often tell the story.
As for me, I still fear what I can not see. I jump at loud noises and quick, unexpected movements. At the Queen Mary's Dark Harbor, my husband calmed me by saying... "They can't touch you." Apparently there's a rule, to protect the ghouls from the sudden flailing reaction that some patrons might have. "They aren't real." Well, silly, I knew that, but it's still scary. It still makes me jump. My adrenaline still rushes through me.

Some of us seek out that rush. I'm on the fence. I seek it out, until I get to the point of the scare.... Then, I'm done. No thanks. I'm ok. Really I am. I'll wait out here. What? I have to go? Don't hold your hand so tightly you say? AAAAAHHHHHHAAAAA!
