Watch Supermoon Shine Over Alamitos Bay

Video of Saturday night's supermoon at about 8:30 p.m., as seen from Bay Shore Avenue and Division Street in Belmont Shore (hence the traffic noise). Several people flocked to the stairs leading to the sand, hoping to flop down and moongaze. But the moon-driven tide was high - reaching the concrete wall that holds it from the street. The lifeguard chair legs were about half-way submerged.
