Zombie Walk Gallery: The Undead Roam Long Beach

The yearly Halloween ritual of Zombie palooza invaded downtown Long Beach Saturday night by the thousands, and if aliens invaded Marina Green Park, nobody would have noticed.

The 5th Annual Zombie Walk Long Beach Street Fest spilled across the waterfront green, where stages were set up for performances and group dances and flash mobs; carnival games and make-up booths were popular and lines formed.

A band of clowns performed (interesting how some people are more afraid of painted clown faces than they are of gorey made-up head wounds). Last year more than 12,000 people were counted.

For another year, a strange and wonderful custom turned downtown into a horror movie scene.
