Annual Citywide Yard Waste & Weed Abatement Cleanup Scheduled In Benicia

BENICIA, CA — The Benicia Fire Department, Benicia PublicWorks Department, and Republic Services are hosting the annual Citywide Yard Waste and Weed Abatement Clean-up Event on the second weekend in May.

The free annual program is for Benicia residents who need to clear their property of weeds and other vegetation. Only yard waste and vegetation will be accepted at this event, excluding palm fronds. Tree branch cuttings shall be limited to 4 inches in diameter.

• WHEN: Saturday & Sunday, May 8 & 9, 2021, 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.
• WHERE: Benicia Corporation Yard – 2400 East Second Street
• WHO: * Benicia Residents Only * (proof of residency will be required to gain entry)

This event is intended for use by homeowners. No commercial dumping will be allowed. All participants will be required to wear a face covering.
