Beloved Benicia Wife, Mother, Grandmother Passes Away

BENICIA, CA — Benicia resident Carri Marie (Ammenti) Smith, 57, beloved wife, mother and grandmother, passed away Tuesday, May 7, 2019 at Kaiser Permanente Vallejo Medical Center surrounded by all her loved ones. Carri was born June 23, 1961 in San Francisco to parents Orlando and Geraldine Ammenti; she had one sibling, brother Orlando "Billy" Ammenti.

Carri, a Benicia resident since the 1970s, was an amazing woman who cared deeply for her family and friends; a person who was always there whenever anyone needed her.

Carri is survived by her husband, Scott Smith; four children, Marky Holland, Anthony Holland, Angelo Smith and Kathryn (Smith) Elledge; as well as her nine grandchildren, who were her life: Constantine and Liam Holland, Aiden Holland, Aslynn Wacker, Hunter and Greyson Smith, Alexis Smith, Scott and Denise Elledge.

Carri's celebration of life will be held from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, June 2 at the Portuguese Hall, 140 West J St. in Benicia.

Carri will be truly missed but will live on through all the lives she touched throughout the years.
