Benicia Police Log: A Drunk Kid on East O, Two Beehives On Lake Herman

2:03 a.m.: There was a report of either fireworks or shots fired in the vicinity of West H Street.  Investigating officers were unable to locate either.

2:34 a.m.: The fireworks moved to Banbury and police were unable to locate the persons setting them off.

7:18 a.m.: An alarm was accidentally activated at a business on Industrial.

11:48 a.m.: A citizen on First Street wanted advice regarding someone who is upset and trying to reach the citizen’s daughter.

2:20 p.m.: Two bee boxes were in the middle of Lake Herman Road.   A professional beekeeper was contacted and removed the hives.

4:46 p.m.: A Solano Square business reported that three people came in the store and stole all the Enfamil baby formula.

8:08 p.m.: A 911 call from a pay phone on East H Street turned out to not be an emergency.

8:34 p.m.: A 49-year-old Benicia man was arrested on an outstanding warrant issued in Los Angeles.

8:44 p.m.: Officers were able to help resolve a family dispute on East K Street.

10:12 p.m.: A citizen reported hearing possible gunshots in the vicinity of Steven.  Officers were unable to locate anyone with a gun.

10:42 p.m.: A Benicia juvenile was cited for public drunkeness.

Editor’s Note:  Even though I inject a bit of humor into these police logs, please remember, the men and women whose job it is to protect us rarely find it funny when they are approaching a drunk person or a building where the alarm is going off.
