12:01 a.m.: Police received a 911 call from a residence on Carsten. It was an accidental dial.
7:41 a.m.: Officers took a report for an assault on Shirley.

11:01 a.m.: Officers talked to the owner of a vehicle illegally parked on Regis.
11:30 a.m.: A resident on West H Street reported speeding vehicles.

7:02 p.m.: A resident on Larkin called to report a tow truck parked on the street. Officers were unable to make contact with the owner but will try again.
7:12 p.m.: Officers opened a case file on a civil matter on Buchanan.
7:19 p.m.: Police received a report of kids playing in a shopping cart in Solano Square. The kids left before officers arrived on the scene.
8:36 p.m.: Police were alerted to an unfamiliar vehicle parked on White Chapel.  Investigating officers noted that the vehicle was properly registered and parked legally.
9:10 p.m.: Officers were unable to locate a subject who was in a business where they were not wanted.
9:49 p.m.: Police received a report of a suspicious person in the vicinity of Columbus Parkway. The person was gone before officers arrived.
9:56 p.m.: A burglar alarm at an East Industrial Way business was activated. Investigating officers found no signs of attempted forced entry.
10:10 p.m.: A juvenile causing a disturbance on Southampton Road got to have a discussion with police officers regarding proper decorum.
10:25 p.m.: Police received a report of two people in an argument in front of the Police Station. When patrolling officers got back to the station the argumentative people were gone.
Editor’s Note: Even though I inject a bit of humor into these police logs, please remember, the men and women whose job it is to protect us rarely find it funny when they are approaching a drunk person or a building where the alarm is going off.
