Benicia Police Log: Domestic Violence Arrest on Southampton Road, Newpaper Seller on Panorama

12:15 a.m.: A burglar alarm at a business on Egret malfunctioned.

12:54 a.m.: A resident on East L Street accidentally mad a 911 call to police.

6:16 a.m.: A 35-year-old San Francisco man was arrested on Rose Drive for being under the influence of a controlled substance.

6:28 a.m.: There was a report of an unfamiliar man loitering in the vicinity of Southampton Road.  He was gone when officers arrived to investigate.

7:58 a.m.: A vehicle was left in the driveway of a Bayshore Road business.  The owner was contacted and informed officers the card would be moved.

12:06 p.m.: A 24-year-old Benicia man was arrested for domestic violence and violating probation.

12:56 p.m.: Officers began an investigation into the illegal use of a credit card on East Second Street.

1:58 p.m.: A non-injury traffic collision occurred on East Second Street.

7:19 p.m.: A burglar alarm at a business on Egret malfunctioned.

7:34 p.m.: An unlicensed solicitor was cited on West K Street.

9:07 p.m.: A door was left open at a business on East Second Street.   It was deemed to have been an employee error.

9:23 p.m.: Police received a report of someone selling newspapers on Panorama.   The seller was not in the area when officers arrived to investigate.

Editor’s Note:  Even though I inject a bit of humor into these police logs, please remember, the men and women whose job it is to protect us rarely find it funny when they are approaching a drunk person or a building where the alarm is going off.
