Benicia Police Log: Domestic Violence on West L, Loud Pool Party on Southampton

8:02 a.m.: Police opened an investigation into the theft of a car from Brentwood.

1241 p.m.: Police arrested a 34-year-old Benicia man on West L Street for domestic battery.

1:59 p.m.: Police received a report of a ma sleeping on the side of East N Street.  Apparently he woke up and went to breakfast because investigating officers couldn’t find him.

4:26 p.m.: Officers pulled over a motorist on Interstate 780 who was alleged to have been driving recklessly.

5:11 p.m.: Officers investigated the activation of an alarm on Sanborn but found nothing out of the ordinary.

6:46 p.m.: Officers went to a business on Indiana where the alarm had been activated.  There appeared to be no problems.

8:11 p.m.: Police opened an investigation into an apparent hit and run on Military East.

8:31 p.m.: Officers were asked to standby at a residence on West M Street while a citizen retrieved some belongings.

9:58 p.m.: Officers investigated the activation of an alarm at a City facility on East K Street.

10:17 p.m.: Officers talked to the hosts of a loud party in the vicinity of Cambridge.  Most of the partiers left after officers arrived.

11:11 p.m.: Officers talked to several people who were in the pool area of a Southampton Road complex and  being inappropriately loud for the time of night.

Editor’s Note:  Even though I inject a bit of humor into these police logs, please remember, the men and women whose job it is to protect us rarely find it funny when they are approaching a drunk person or a building where the alarm is going off.
