Friday, September 28, 2012

1:30 p.m.: Police received a report of a missing female juvenile.  Officers located the girl at a friend’s house.

3:40 p.m.: Police received a report of juveniles in the vicinity of West H Street drinking alcohol and smoking.  Officers found the group but none of the reported activities.

5:45 p.m.: Officers were unable to determine what activated an alarm at a West Channel Road business.

6:56 p.m.: There was a dispute between neighbors at an East J Street apartment complex.  The parties in dispute were urged to contact the property management company.

8:28 p.m.: Police received a report of a barking dog on Belvedere.  The dog’s people were not home, however the Animal Control Officer will follow-up.

8:35 p.m.: Police received a report of kids on the roof of a Military West school.  Officers talked to all the kids involved and warned them about being on school property after school hours.

9:34 p.m.: There was a suspicious vehicle parked on Rankin with the emergency blinker flashing.  Investigating officers noted that the driver had pulled over to use a cell phone.

1:49 a.m.: A 26-year-old Vallejo man was arrested for drug possession, petty theft, public drunkeness and resisting arrest.  He got a free ride to county jail.

4:39 a.m.: A resident reported there was a man using a flashlight to look inside parked vehicles on Ware.  Officers found the man and noted there was no crime being committed.

12:14 p.m.: Officers began an investigation into a possible case of domestic violence on West Fifth Street.

1:03 p.m.: Officers were unable to determine what activated an alarm at a Camel Road business.

1:52 p.m.: There was a verbal altercation between a man and woman on Southampton Road.

2:52 p.m.: Officers were unable to determine what activated an alarm at an East Industrial Way business.

4:16 p.m.: Officers were unable to determine what activated an alarm at a Stone Road business.

5:25 p.m.: Police received a report of a loud party at Community Park.  Investigating officers were unable to locate a loud party.

7:05 p.m.: The alarm activation at a Morning Glory residence was the result of a subscriber error.

7:35 p.m.: There was a verbal altercation between a man and a woman on Vista Court. After speaking to police, the woman left with the kids.

8:31 p.m.: Those boys who were fighting on Rose Drive were really just play fighting.

10:07 p.m.: There was a robbery on Military East.

11:08 p.m.: There was a loud party on Karen.  The hosts agreed to turn down the volume after speaking to officers.

11:51 p.m.: A man reported that he was forcibly taken out of a business by another man.  Officers spoke to both men.

12:36 a.m.: A 28-year-old Vallejo woman was arrested for drunk driving on East Second Street.

8:38 a.m.: A car hit a city sign.

11:31 a.m.: A resident on Dartmouth reported their credit card was used without the owners authorization to make an online purchase.

3:26 p.m.: A resident on Warwick reported their apartment was entered and some money taken.  The resident thinks their brother may have taken the dough.

3:57 p.m.: There was an open door at an empty house on Rose Drive.  Investigating officers secured the door.

4:34 p.m.: Someone stole a sheet cake from Safeway.   

Editor’s Note:  Even though I inject a bit of humor into these police logs, please remember, the men and women whose job it is to protect us rarely find it funny when they are approaching a drunk person or a building where the alarm is going off.
