Benicia Police Log: Missing Girl, Barking Dog and a Woman Arrested for a Parole Violation

1:57 a.m.: A 20-year-old man was arrested in Solano Square for drunk driving.
6:47 a.m.: Officers inspected a home on Carsten where a gate was left open. Officers found that nothing appeared to be out of place.

8:38 a.m.: A trailer was stolen from a business on West Channel Road.
8:44 a.m.: A resident on East Third Street reported a vandal had put a small hole in a window. Investigating officers believe the hole may have been made by a pellet or BB shot through the window.

8:44 a.m.: The kid who was creating a hazard by lying in a driveway was taken away by his mom.
8:45 a.m.: A 34-year-old Benicia woman was arrested on East Second Street for receiving stolen property and a parole violation.
9:32 a.m.: Officers investigated an alleged violation of a court order and found that no violation had occurred.
10:49 a.m.: Officers counseled a family that was in the midst of a family disturbance.
1:26 p.m.: A barking dog was reported on West J Street, but officers were unable to locate the animal when they arrived on the scene.
2:28 p.m.: Officers stopped a car on Military East after receiving reports that the driver might be drunk. They decided the driver was sober.
7:28 p.m.: Officers opened an investigation into a missing 15-year-old girl. She failed to return to her Southampton Road home after school.
9:21 p.m.: Officers opened an investigation into the theft of items from a car on West Third Street.
10:41 p.m. A man on McAllister reported he was having trouble with his 17-year-old son.
Editor’s Note: Even though I inject a bit of humor into these police logs, please remember, the men and women whose job it is to protect us rarely find it funny when they are approaching a drunk person or a building where the alarm is going off.
