12:09 a.m.: A burglar alarm was activated on Lansing. Responding officers didn’t find anything amiss.
12:23 a.m.: Officers responded to a complaint about a reckless driver on the First Street spit.

12:50 a.m.: A 31-year-old Santa Rosa woman was arrested for drunk driving on East Fifth Street.
1:10 a.m.: A vehicle was repossessed on Cambridge.

1:48 a.m.: An alarm was activated on Grant Street. Responding officers couldn’t find a reason for the activation.
2:19 a.m.: Officers talked to a person on East F Street who was playing music a little too loudly.
8:12 a.m.: Officers began an investigation into graffiti tagging at the middle school.
8:25 a.m.: A good Samaritan reported an injured rabbit on East Industrial Way. The person who called in the report moved the rabbit to the side of the road and left it with food and water. The rabbit was gone when officers arrived.
8:31 a.m.: A resident on Via Media paid the city to relocate a trapped possum.
9:45 a.m.: An employee at an East K Street business accidentally set off the burglar alarm.
9:57 a.m.: A resident on East N Street asked officers for an escort during a civil issue.
10:27 a.m.: A business on Columbus Parkway reported the theft of personal care products.
11:42 a.m.: A residence on Church appeared secure despite the burglar alarm activation.
2:04 p.m.: Officers were unable to find the vehicles that were reportedly speeding on East Industrial Way.
2:58 p.m.: Officers took a few minutes to explain to a solicitor on Lansing the procedure for getting a soliciting license in Benicia.
4:49 p.m.: Officers investigated a report of a family disturbance on Oxford. They found that there was no disturbance.
7:18 p.m.: The alarm activation at an East Fifth Street business was found to be a malfunction.
7:33 p.m.: Officers were unable to determine why a burglar alarm at an Adams Street business was activated.
8:32 p.m.: Officers arrested a 23-year-old woman for a variety of things including conspiracy to commit a criminal act and possession of a controlled substance. The arrest took place on Buena Vista.
8:36 p.m.: Officers investigated a suspicious circumstance on Church Street.
9:05 p.m.: Investigation officers were unable to determine why an alarm at an Indiana Street business was activated.
9:23 p.m.: A 23-year-old man was arrested on Buena Vista for having a registration sticker on his car that isn’t registered and driving on a suspended license.
10:33 p.m.: Officers were asked to investigate a suspicious vehicle spotted on Columbus Parkway. The vehicle was gone when officers arrived.
10:37 p.m.: Officers were asked to investigate a suspicious person spotted on East D Street. The person was gone when police arrived.
Editor’s Note: Even though I inject a bit of humor into these police logs, please remember, the men and women whose job it is to protect us rarely find it funny when they are approaching a drunk person or a building where the alarm is going off.
