Big Rig Overturns, Blocks Multiple Lanes Of I-80 In Vallejo
A Sig-alert was issued for eastbound Interstate Highway 80, where multiple lanes of traffic were blocked.

SOLANO COUNTY, CA — Eastbound Interstate Highway 80 east of Tennessee Street in Vallejo is expected to reopen by 5 p.m. Friday, authorities said. The right and center lanes of traffic have been blocked since 8:30 a.m. when a big rig overturned, spilling diesel fuel and food products, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The semi was involved in a collision with at least one other vehicle, causing it to overturn and land on the right shoulder of eastbound I-80 at the Redwood Parkway off-ramp, the CHP said.
The semi-truck was hauling a 53-foot-long trailer filled with 28,000 pounds of food products.

A Sig-alert was issued at 8:42 a.m. for the eastbound lanes of I-80 east of Tennessee Street, where traffic was delayed because the No. 1 and No. 3 lanes were blocked by the collision, the CHP reported.
There may have been injuries suffered in the crash because an ambulance was requested at the scene.

The incident was ongoing as of 3:20 p.m., according to 511SF.org:
"As of 3:20 PM, CHP reports that there is a severe traffic alert and an overturned tractor trailer on eastbound I-80 west of Redwood Pky in Vallejo. The right and center lanes remain blocked. Motorists are advised to use State Route 4 East to I-680 to I-80 as an alternate route. The estimated time to reopen the roadway IS 5:00 PM."
