Caltrans To Close Eastbound Hwy 12 Overnight In Solano County

The full eastbound closure is scheduled for two nights.

SOLANO COUNTY, CA — As Caltrans Bay Area begins pre-construction work this weekend on the Interstate 80, Interstate 680 and state Route 12 interchange near Fairfield, a full eastbound closure of SR-12 is scheduled for two nights.

For the safety of workers and motorists, eastbound SR-12 at Red Top Road will be closed overnight, from 10 p.m. Friday until 8 a.m. Saturday, to install temporary movable barriers on SR-12.

The work will continue from 11 p.m. Saturday until 9 a.m. Sunday.

Motorists traveling eastbound on SR-12 will be detoured onto Red Top Road to connect to eastbound I-80.

Starting the week of Oct. 12, crews will also be closing various lanes overnight on I-80 near Red Top Road. One lane in each direction on I-80 will remain open at all times. However, motorists should expect delays, Caltrans said.
