Few Tricks, Lots Of Treats At Benicia First St. Halloween Event

BENICIA, CA — Benicia Main Street's annual Halloween Costume Contest and Sidewalk Stroll was a hit yet again this year, with several superheroes even dropping in for the fun Saturday. Groups of families and friends trick-or-treated at shops along along First Street — until their bags were full and merchants gave out their very last pieces of candy.

A popular stop was Coldwell Banker, which gave out fresh popcorn and played Michael Jackson's "Thriller" song over loudspeakers.

At noon, pets in costumes paraded across First Street Green and were rewarded with treats for their tricks.
