Harley-Davidson Rider Dies In Solano County Crash
Witnesses saw the rider go off the road when he failed to negotiate a sharp curve, the California Highway Patrol said.
SOLANO COUNTY, CA — A 57-year-old Fairfield man died as a result of a motorcycle crash Saturday night in Ledgewood, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The crash involving a Harley-Davidson was reported at 8:08 p.m. Saturday on Mankas Corner Road west of Ledgewood Road, CHP Spokesman David Harvey said.
Witnesses said the blue Harley-Davidson was going east on Mankas Corner when it failed to negotiate a sharp right curve in the road.

The motorcycle went off the road and into a trench, where it hit a concrete ledge.
Multiple witnesses stopped at the scene to try and help the motorcycle rider.

Harvey said the rider, a 57-year-old Fairfield man, was taken to Northbay Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
The Solano County Sheriff-Coroner's Office was expected to release the rider's name once his family members were properly notified of his death.
