I-80 Bridge Overcrossing At Springs Road To Reopen Next Week
The bridge, which required work to increase its vertical clearance, is one of six sites Caltrans is working on to meet federal standards.
SOLONO COUNTY, CA — Caltrans announced plans on Friday to reopen the Springs Road bridge overcrossing at Interstate 80 next week after crews were able to increase the vertical clearance to was required to meet federal standards.
The bridge, which now has a vertical clearance of 16 feet, 6 inches, is scheduled to reopen to the public on Wednesday, Caltrans announced in a news release. Crews will continue to work on the vertical clearance on five overcrossings which pass over I-80 in the City of Vallejo just north of the Carquinez Bridge.
The bridges will be worked on one at a time. Now that the Springs Road bridge is near completion, Caltrans will move on to sites at Magazine Street, Benicia Road, Georgia Street, Tennessee Street and Redwood Street, Caltrans said.

Work on the Magazine Street bridge will begin in May and the bridge will be closed to motorists, pedestrians and bicyclists – day and night – during the four-month construction period.
